Overview
Community Health, From the Ground Up
Maternal and child mortality remain disproportionately high in rural West Bengal and Tripura. BITAN bridges the gap between government health infrastructure and the communities it serves — deploying trained health volunteers, organising health camps, and running sustained behaviour-change campaigns on nutrition, immunisation, and antenatal care.
Our health work is deeply integrated with ASHA workers, anganwadi centres, and district hospitals. We believe community health is inseparable from rights — every family deserves access to quality care regardless of geography or income.
